I was born in New Orleans and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I received a Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State and completed my Masters degree in Clinical Social Work in 1984. It was in graduate school that I met my wife Angela, also a therapist. Prior to graduate school I attained experience in a variety of challenging and rewarding environments, including a detox center, a psychiatric hospital, the LSU Student Mental Health Center, the Baton Rouge Mental Health Center and Baton Rouge Youth, Inc., a group home for teenage boys. My first post-graduate work was as a therapist at Family and Youth Counseling Agency in Lake Charles, Louisiana. 

 

In 1987 Angela and I moved to Destin. I began working at the Psychiatric Unit at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Next was private practice at Destin Counseling Center and for about the last two decades I have been in private practice in Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Niceville and Santa Rosa Beach. 

 

I see Individuals, couples and families in my main office on Mack Bayou. We also have a satellite office out of our home in Santa Rosa Beach, if that is more convenient for you. I pride myself in running an efficient schedule and so patients never have to wait for their appointment at either location. Please note that therapy sessions are by appointment only.
